Already for a long time I was looking for a VCL component to incorporate Google Maps into my Delhi applications. Of course, you can use TWebBrowser and call a Google Maps web application, but that only gives very limited control over the Google Maps. In fact you are still running a web application. Luckily, last week I came across the TGoMaps VCL component. I downloaded the free (!) LITE version and discovered within half an hour that this component was exactly what I needed. For just €179,- I bought the full functional version (without source code) and the next day I had full control over Google Maps in my application. Changing maps, find an address, adding markers, polygons, polylines, and more, that all can now be controlled by Delphi code. Can you image a GIS system for just €179 with great underlying maps?
